Here's the link to where I found the info:  http://flava.wordpress.com/2007/10/03/harlequin-closing-lines-update/

I don't have a problem with them incorporating the Everlasting Love into the Superromances, but is anyone annoyed by the fact that they want to publish the Next books as trade paperbacks?  Don't get me wrong....some of the Next authors are really good, it's one of my favorite lines, but the idea that the price of the books would more than double just peeves me.

well I've enjoyed several of the Next titles and they're priced a tad more than their other books already. I'd consider paying mass market pb prices for the authors/series I like but  no way in he** I'm apying $14 for one. they're not that good. and there are a couple of series I've really been waiting for the next ones to come out n - steve mittman's and charlotte douglas' 2 series...

Susanna,

What Charlotte Douglas books are you talking about?  I love that Maggie Skerritt series but I thought it was maybe ending after their wedding in the last book.  Are there supposed to be more or is she supposed to start a new series with new people?

The Maggie Skerritt series is the one I liked..I didn't  know it was ending though..I just figured they'd  keep doing their PI business...oh well that'll eliminate one series I dont' have to worry about! The other series the Life in long island can be murder series by steve mittman(think that's how it's spelled) the woman is 'weird' but I enjoyed the stories so far and its not at a stopping place unless she tidies it up with the jan or feb release I think it is (or was scheduled to be released around now).

Who Creamed Peaches, Anyway? is coming out soon, if it hasn't already been released.  I guess that will be the last Stevie Mittman book for next unless she gets bumped to trade size.....

geez..I hope it comes out before they ditch it! better go to amazon.com and check it out! I couldn't remember the name of it but I've enjoyed those and hope she ends up with the cop LOL! another good one was by debra webb seems like called 'never happened' and I emailed the author and asked if it was gonna be a series and she said no :-( it was about a woman who had her own business that cleaned up crime scenes and other stuff that was icky and she found an eyeball with some kinda thingy on it and her cop friend ends up dead and she thinks it's because of that thingy she had him investigate then the CIA or one of those initial groups get involved and she doesn't know who's who..really nice read for this type book. I also liked donna birdsell's suburban secrets and have several others in my tbr pile...but some weren't as good and I think that hurt the line sorta like the bombshells silhouette put out..some of those are good and others weren't but the variety ws too much...I like certain types of stories and sometimes venture into something else b ut these were all over the place and  hard to know what you were getting.

well, I went to eharlequin.com and ordered it (peaches is out this month!) along with that hot blaze title (figure the cover alone is worth the dough!) and a few, um, other books that sorta hopped into the cart but hey got free shipping LOL!

me too..another series I discovered either at the end of its time or too late...sigh...I can' tsee paying for those storiies in trade size unless they put 2-3 in one volume though...I'm not crazy about that size anyways 'cause it's harder to carry around in my purse!
