I noticed that Harlequin has a section in their eBooks store of older, vintage releases, right now they are in the 90's, but it got me thinking about old favorites and I remembered this book I like, but I have no idea what year it was published, and can not remember the darn name!  LOL

I remember the book so clearly, but can not find it to save my life LOL

I believe it was either a Harlequin Super Romance or Special Edition... but definitely a Harlequin book, an possibly sometime between 2000 and 2005, probably a November or December book because is set around Christmas time.

Okay, it starts out in some little dive diner, a rich guy and his lawyer come and for some reason he needs or wants a wife asap to secure an inheritance or his fortune or something like that.  He ends up in a quickie marriage to the waitress in the diner, her first day on the job wearing a borrowed uniform & name tag, so he doesn't even know her real name, although she signs it on the marriage license he really isn't paying attention.  The marriage is arranged in exchange for her support because she wants to go to college and they go their separate ways.  A few years pass, and she comes back into his life with help from the lawyer and some friends, they hide her identity by her going by her real name.  He's a real player, never has a girlfriend for more than 12 months, never lets them sleep over, basically a loner.

She is now a pretty successful interior designer and she wants a baby, so who better than her "husband" so she agrees to be his girl friend for a year, thinking as soon as she gets pregnant she'll dump him, divorce him, and go on her way.

Of course complications ensue, she falls in love, he changes and goes about getting a divorce so he can be with her, only then she gets pregnant.  She tells him, he gets pissed says he ha a vasectomy years ago.  basic argument ensues, he gives her the boot.

One part when he confides in her all the Christmas' he has missed all his life and the gifts he would have loved to have as a boy, so as a parting gift she gives it to him in one whack.  he comes home to find it decorated, and a huge train circling the tree, filled with gifts all the things he wanted growing up, the final gift of course is a bag, with everything he ever gave her, on top of her folded borrowed diner uniform & name tag, and lastly the signed divorce decree.  he has what he thinks is a heart attack, but it is anxiety over what he's lost.

He eventually goes after her and HEA,

Does this sound remotely familiar to anyone?  Does anyone know the title?

Sounds like Take Me by Cherry Adair. It has all the plot points you've mentioned.

Thank You Lealee!!  I think you're right, although I could've sworn it was a Super Romance, not Blaze.  LOL No wonder it was driving me nuts I was looking in the wrong place!  AND It's in ebook form yay!

Thanks so much!
