Okay, now I have a yen to read about this Egyptian Queen, Pharaoh -whatever.... I've not read anything so far and it looks like the book by Pauline Gedge is really good. Has anyone else read a book about her and if so, what were your impressions???

Jeanne, I read the Pauline Gedge book a few years ago, and I thought it was wonderful!  I highly recommend it.

I am just waiting for the day when somebody says, "Has anybody read this obscure book about some historical figure who's name I can't pronounce during a time period not registered on any calender?"  and nobody says, "Oh yea...I've read that....great book!"  Seriously.   I think the whole PBS system would shut down if that ever happened!

I think that might be a category for next year's HF Challenge...read a book more than 5 years old that nobody on the forum has ever read!

Christa, that's a great idea!  You know how I love the hunt...cheeky

ETA: Remember, Christa, you're dealing with a bunch of old women who have been reading for at least 50 years!  Bwhahaha....

I second Vicky's choice.  I thought it was a very good one too!

I love that idea for next year's challenge!  A bonus category, however, because I have doubts whether 1) such a book exists in the English language, and 2) assuming it does, that anyone can idenify and actually acquire said book.

Jerelyn, I think Jeanne is interchanging us now...is that the first sign of spending too much time together?
