If you like stories about traveling and adventures, this book is perfect for you. The Graham family of Wichita, Kansas decided that their comfortable suburban lifestyle was getting too hectic and was ultimately weakening their bond as a family. So, they saved money, sold their home and set off on a yearlong journey through the fifty states in a conversion van. This book chronicles the places they visited, the people they met and the ways in which they grew as a family during their trip. It is also a virtual how-to manual on using family vacations as bonding time, as well as a pretty good tourist guide for lots of places all across America. With all of the negativity in the news today, this book was a refreshing read because it reminded me that there is still a lot of good in America.
