From reviving to energy teas, detoxifiers and brain foods, this book definitely has something for everyone. What I enjoyed was the originality of these recipes-I doubt you'll find them anywhere but here. (Plan on visiting a health food store for some of the ingredients.) Enjoy and see your health improve!

This is a very interesting book, but it is not for everybody.

The back cover says "these tasty recipes are easy to make with common ingredients and basic cooking equipment."

Most, if not all, recipe ingredients are not common: Dandelion Root, Nettle Leaves, Wild Oat, American Ginseng, Panax Ginseng Root, Siberian Ginseng Root, Sarsaparilla Root, Fo-ti-tieng Root, Fresh Ginkgo Leaves, Hawthorn Berries, Gotu Koala Leaves....

Don't get me wrong, IF I had easy access to all of these un-common ingredients, this book would be GREAT.

I agree with the other reviewer that the 'common ingredients' are not quite so common where I am able to shop. Siberian ginseng root? Really? And I am as close to Siberia as I can get here in Alaska. I am passing this book on with hopes it will find a home with someone who has an opportunity to use it and enjoy it where they have more shopping options. It might turn out to be a very fun and interesting book in that case!
