Beautiful red-headed Jessica has always had things her way when it came to men and she has learned to use it to her advantage. When she meets Clay and he doesn't respond the ways she expects she is shocked. When an orphaned child needs parents and Clay and Jessica are the avaiable adults Jessica assumes they can just marry and take in the child. Clay is then clear with her that he does not want to marry someone as self centered as Jessica. He wonders if she would even make a good mother for any child. Jessica suddenel confronted with how selfish and spioled she has become is caused to reflect inward and decide if she wants to change. Can God forgive and help her change? Can God change Clay's heart towards her.
I thought this was a very enjoyabe historical book.
