Anybody read this one yet?  I know it's a little bit older, but I just finished it today.  I enjoyed it, but I'm wondering what other people thought.  Even though Joe is using part of his middle name as his last name (Hill, instead of King) I really thought that his writing reminded me a lot of some of his dad's older work.

I read it quite a while ago and I thought it was pretty good.  For some reason I've never really been a big of his dad's books.

I just picked it up from my TBR pile and really enjoyed it.  He has a new one out HORNS coming soon I think.  I will get in line at the library!

I knew that Horns was either coming out soon or already out.  He also has a collection of short stories that I'm thinking about trying to find.  It was a very different book from some of the other paranormal stuff I've read, but I liked it.

Hi Beth, I think it is called something like 20th century ghosts.  I think that is in my TBR pile too!

Jordan -- I would say let me know what you think after you read it, but if your TBR pile is anything like mine, it could be a while!  ;)

Beth, Still waiting for Horns, but just finishing up 20th Century Ghosts which is a collection of short stories.  SO amazing.  I literally started crying in public during one story.  Not easy to make me cry in public especially in a short story format!  I too have a crazy TBR pile but have been known to seriously line jump so I will let you know if Horns is good if I get it soon ;).

I just got Horns from the library and it is in my bag so hopefully I will get to read a little today! So excited.  I loved 20th century ghosts so much.  I got it from the library but it may be a keeper so I may have to get in line for one from here!

Ok I read Horns in less than 12 hours.  It was good, maybe even bordered on great but I  am not sure I ultimately liked it as well as Heart Shaped Box or 20th Century Ghosts.  Still a great read in a lot of respects and I will definitely pick up anything he writes based on these 3 books!

Jordan -- thanks for the update!  I went ahead and ordered 20th Century Ghosts on my Kindle, and will probably break down and do the same with Horns.

Beth, you will have to tell me what you think when you finish.  20th Century Ghosts especially was a real find for me.  I love short stories when they are good and so many people don't do them or don't do them well.  Stephen King, Hill's dad, is one of the few that still does them well.  I guess the apple doesn't fall far ;).

I have finished the first short story, and have started on the second.... love, love LOVE them.  I can't wait to read Horns.  I agree - it's hard to find good short stories anymore.

Beth, So glad you are enjoying the short story collection.  I got it from the library but am on the WL for it for a copy of my own that I can re-read and maybe loan out!
