Wow, definitely one of my favorites from Phillip Margolin! Book recounts murder of Walters - Murray where two troubled brothers are charged with the crime. Mr. Margolin deftly weaves an intricate story with many characters for an ending that'll leave you thinking. Would so make a great movie - not sure why it hasn't already been done!

It was gruesome, but it was still a page-turner. Margolin is a compelling storyteller. The whole thing is a flashback, with a surprise ending.

Phillip Margolin always keeps me spellbound! If you like Cold Case files on TV, you will love this. The murder of a young couple in 1960 is brought to the attention of the DA, who had investigated the crime as a young assistant DA at the time. Getting past all of the lies and deceit makes this horrendous crime almost impossible to solve.

I picked up this book in a box from a garage sale and thought it might be worth reading before it was posted. I'm certainly glad I did. A review on the back of the book says it reminded the reviewer of "In Cold Blood". I beg to differ. This book captured my attention at the very beginning and didn't let go until I was finished. And what a finish!

This was just okay, it was really good until it got to about the middle and then it went into a long drawn out session with a hypnotist and it drug out for pages and pages, I had it figured it anyway but still the ending might surprise you.

Loved it. Redemption and twisted plot kept my attention throughout. Unpredictable and lesson in integrity as well as treachery through an unlikely suspect.

They were young, popular, the perfect couple -- an all-American boy and a beautiful cheerleader. But the youthful passion that led them to Lookout Point that terrible evening would prove fatal. For Richie Walters the end came swiftly, as death descended upon him in a savage orgy of horrific violence. Elaine Murray would live long enough to learn just how lucky her boyfriend had been ...

Two brutal slayings have rocked a stunned city. But the murders are merely the nightmare's beginning, flinging open a terrifying Pandora's box of sordid secrets and dark revelations more deadly than the bloodlust that lives in the rock-hard heart of a killer.

This was another good book by Phillip Margolin. About 1/3rd of the way through I couldn't stand the sleazy methods of the detective on the case. He became obsessed losing all objectivity. I wouldn't say there was a main character in this story. There are many and sometimes it is difficult to keep track other than a few of the main ones. The hypnosis sessions became a little tedious but overall I really enjoyed reading this book.
