I ended up really liking this book, when I didn't expect to. Its a bit older and I was afraid the stories would be dated, but I was pleasantly surprised. I've never read anything by Barbara Delinsky and her story was great. The first few pages had me thinking I wouldn't like it but right after that I changed my mind. The other stories were also better and more indepth than I thought they would be. Great book.
# different authors, 3 very different stories - 1 erotic, 1 romantic, 1 very good mystery
Three neat stories. Linda Lael Miller's story "Part of the Bargain" I had read in another book of short stories. It's about a guy and gal that drive each other crazy trying to hurt each other, only to find out that they're feelings run deep. Barbara Delinsky's offering is "The Dream Unfolds," and I thought the guy in this romantic story was pretty unique. An interesting character! The third story is "Whistleblower" by Tess Gerritsen. This is the first time I've read a short story by her, but found it was very enjoyable. There's romance mixed in with cloak and dagger danger. It centers around undercover unscrupulous experiments for biological warfare. I read the book quickly.
About this title: Summer is an independent woman, much like her mother and grandmother, but when she meets Cameron Divine on a small isolated island, she soon learns the benefits of mutual dependence.
Three books in one by three terrific authors - Linda Lael Miller, Barbara Delinsky, Tess Gerritsen. All good story tellers.
All three of these stories are a good read.
