This series was fantastic. A friend gave me the first book a few years ago and I picked it up once but was bored by the introduction. Later on I had some time to do some reading and I figured I may as well be a 'good reader' and read something I didn't like. I couldn't put it down after I got through the first chapter and then I was very eager to get the second two books! It has a different ending, but altogether very lifelike.

This story was complicated and enlightening. The heroine and her love were so much in love and their story so tragic. The setting was beautiful and the other family members were well developed and sad.
