I lived in Salt Lake City when this whole thing happened. I was always suspicious of what really happened. Why did Ed Smart call his Mormon Bishop first and not the police? Why did he let the neighbors/church members tramp through his house and Elizabeth's room before the police got there? My hubby worked downtown and did see Brian David Mitchell preaching on the streets while at lunch. The people who lived in SLC finally got tired of seeing the Smarts on the TV almost every day for months, and we were sad for their loss, but it was getting old real fast. Elizabeth was found in a suburb of SLC called Sandy, where we lived. One of the school bus drivers who my hubby worked with was one of the people who saw the 3 walking on the street and called 911. It was a crazy time in SLC.......I guess this book depicts "most" of what really happened, but I always wonder about the "9 months" that Elizabeth was missing....makes you wonder, doesn't it?
