We are big people and little people; we come from many we come from many backgrounds and traditions. No one group of people is Chattanooga. We are born and bred Southerners; we are Greek wedding feasts and Hungarian bakeries; we are church suppers, hospital teas, and Bar Mitzvah receptions. We have eaten everything from beef heart in the lean years, country ham and oysters for a President, hoecakes at home, fried chicken on the lake, and cider in Summertown. We live here in the shadow of majestic mountains and enjoy gathering in for delicious Southern food that to us tastes best. All our specialties we gladly share.
You'll enjoy trying Mountain City Club Bean Soup, Mrs. Guerry's Baked Apricots, Ham in Coca-Cola, Belle's Squash Casserole, Granny Smartt's Pound Cake and Black Bottom Pie.« less
