Okay I have the senders name and address But I can't find him as a member.

I have the request ID.......the book has come first class with a proper printed  PBS wrapper so I don't know how this has happened. How on earth do I contact him?

and there is nothing on your pending page or in your transaction archive?

this person probably doesn't have a profile (which is another reason why everyone should have one).  only thing you can do is use the contact button at the bottom and give them the info and ask if they could contact that person for you.

Nothing on my transaction page...it was the first place I looked. This wasn't a freebie becuse it has a request ID.

Must be a glitch in the system.

I would send a help/feedback message through the contact us link at the bottom of the page. Having the request ID should make it easy for the site admins to track down what happened. Maybe the sender will get a credit from the system. I don't think your account would have a credit deducted either way. If it is a system glitch it needs to be fixed, of course!

Did you look in your transaction archive and mailed to you tab for just the state it is coming from? Sometimes the names on the envelopes aren't that easy to match to member information.

Otherwise use the Contact Us link at the bottom of the page and tell them the transaction number, they can research the transaction and see what went wrong.

Maybe it was a random act of kindness?

It's possible that you ordered a book from him, and he mixed up the wrappers.  Do you have any other pending transactions that might be from him?  Or anything in your archive?  If not, contacting the PBS admin team is probably the best way to go.  You can do that through the Help Center.

If the sender never clicked the Book Has Been Mailed button, then you won't find the transaction on your My Account page. It will be in your Transaction Archive as a canceled transaction. If you don't recognize the book title, then it's probable that the sender mailed you the wrong book.

Go to your Transaction Archive and look for Books Requested By Me / Canceled by Sender. You can look for any books where the sender's first name and state match what you got and then send that person a PM.

Oh...I did ALL that right enough. It isn't in my transactions at all. It was meant for someone else but for some reason the wrapper was printed ...but it was addressed to me. Just a glitch somewhere along the line.

Found him though.....gave him a credit for it, just to be fair. I'm thinking my son might read it on vacation because it has pictures!!! ( comic type book)

That's a problem you should definitely report then, even if you've resolved it to your satisfaction. A "glitch" that exposed your address to another member is something that should definitely be fixed. Please send feedback about this! Hopefully they'll get back to you with some explanation that makes sense but we just didn't think of.

hmm, this happened to someone on the bazaar.  they were searching around for the member and posting to find them, they ended up finding them though, and I'm pretty sure everything has been worked out.
