Ok, this is a complete long shot, because I don't even remember the plot!

All I remember is that when the heroine saw the hero, one of her ovaries released an egg.   Any idea on who what book this happened in?  I  thought this was hilarious and was talking to a friend about it, but couldn't tell her where I read it.

Thanks for any help!

OMG, seriously???  I did not know you could feel something like that.

I think we all need to know the name of this "masterpiece".

That sounds really familiar, but I don't know what book. I would guess a Katie MacAlister, possibly Jennifer Crusie, maybe Kasey Michaels. There are several more authors that I've read only one of their books, but sounds like contemporary smart-ass (humorous I guess is the formal term) romance, so if you look through that genre you might get a memory jog. Wish I could help more, I know the feeling as I have a book I can't remember title or author for that has bugged me for years. Good luck!

jeez, i'm pretty sure i read one that said that fairly recently, but no idea who it was.

i did read the new Katie MacAlister recently (Zen and the Art of Vampires), but haven't tried the other two authors mentioned - Jennifer Crusie or maybe Kasey Michaels.

Hey, I felt the egg that became one of my children. Felt the moment of conception. It was the middle of the night and I was awake. The sperm was already in there. It was pretty cool.

Lol.  I can't say as I noticed with either of mine.  Had I known at the time, and known what I know now about being a parent, I'd have probably run screaming down the street the minute that egg dropped:P

I wish I could be more specific on sub-genre, but I really have absolutely no idea.  If I had to guess, I would say contemporary romance.  But it could just as easily be historical or paranormal, maybe even erotica.  Going by percentage, it could very well be paranormal, because I read a lot of those.

As for the suggestions of Katie MacAlister or Kasey Michaels - I haven't read either of them.  Possibly Jennifer Crusie.  In the last few months I think I've read her "Getting Rid of Bradley" and possibly "Agnes and the Hitman".

But, I think I'll post the question in the Paranormal forum as well.

I really should keep better track of what I read!

Nope, not Christine Warren.  Sorry!  Is the book any good, though?

Haha, that's pretty funny.  Maybe I just read the discussion and not the book itself!   Do you have a link to the discussion??
