I am trying to make a decision on what book to read next.  I have narrowed it down to The Art of Racing in the Rain, The Housekeeper, The Professor or Three Cups of Tea or Water for Elephants.  I just finished reading Moloka'i, The Help and These is My Words and eager for another good book and with substance.  Any feedback is greatly appreciated!

I really enjoyed Water for Elephants. It is a diverse cast of characters. Well written.

I really like The Art of Racing in the Rain but found it depressing so I wouldn't suggest it for a holiday read unless things like that don't get you down.  I suggest Water for Elephants...love it!  :)

I haven't read any of the others, but I too loved Water for Elephants.  I don't think you'll be disappointed.

I read both Art of Racing and Water for Elephants and loved them both!  Three Cups of Tea is my next book club selection.

The only one of the ones you listed that I've read was "Water for Elephants"--just finished it about a week ago.  I absolutely loved this book!

I've got The Art of Racing in the Rain on my TBR list.  Gonna have to take a look at your other options.
