I"m trying to find a romance book that I read years ago. I remember I read it in eitehr 1988 or 1989. It wasn't a Harlequin book. I don't remember much about the book but I do remember 1 thing about it. The couple in the book ended up getting marred and this was mid way though the book. I remember thinking it was nice that they were cuase most of the time they didn't in books like this and they both wanted to.

I do remember the cover. It's your standard 2 lovers holding each other cover. They are on a horse (i think) it's white...she's in front of him and they are both looking out at the reader not at each other....he had on a white shirt and had long black hair. (I think her hair was black too)

I know it's not much to go on but, I gave this book away years ago and I wish I still had it. Can anyone help me?

One other thing I do remember is at the time the romance books put out by a certin comapnay/publisher had a heart in the upper corner of the book...it was something like their logo...or telling you it was a new release book...something like that. (i think it was Love Spell books that did this) but now that i think about it more it might not have been a Love Spell book.

The spine of the book was a light purple and there was a circle on the spine with the couples picture (may have only been him) in it.

Thanks,

Jenn

Zebra historical romances used to put a heart I think..sometimes a shiny one. and unfortunately nearly all thecouples were on a horse. do you remember if it was cowboy, native american, or anything specific that  happened in the story?

Wasn't "heartfire" a Zebra imprint too?  I think I remember hearts with that one.  Setting might be helpful.  But, yes, Zebra did alot of western settings back in the day.

That sounds like the spine of the Silhouette Special Editions and Silhouette Romance books.  No heart on the cover of those though.

Here's one of the old style Silhouette Special Edition covers:

Solitaire (Silhouette Special Edition, No 397)

That couple in the circle logo that's on the front (upper center) also appears on the top of the spine.  The purple stripe does a V on the spine with that couple logo in the center of it.
