This book is supposed to be a satire of the liberal government and what would life be like if they took control. The caricatures are quite similar to their real life counterparts so it's not hard to figure out what this author is talking about. The author sounds to be Republican. This is supposed to be a chilren's book, but it seems a big stretch to me that children would be able to understand the politics behind the plot.
