This must be my week for strange problems.

I received a book in the mail on paperback swap wrapping.  As far as I know, I did not request it.  I checked the books coming to me and my transaction archive but there are none coming from the state this book is from.  (I checked back till early July.)  I also checked the names in box-o-books, which I just joined.  No luck.  I have never signed up for a game so I don't think it could be from there.

Perhaps I've ordered something and/or a freebie and forgotten it.  Perhaps I did it in my sleep?  But then why isn't it in my transaction archive?

I have the name and address of the sender from the wrapper.  Is there any way I can look them up online?   If not, I guess I'll drop them a note.  Anyone else ever hasve this happen?

You can try to find them in the Member Directory in Community. It won't give full addresses, but you can search the names by state. Otherwise there should be a request ID# in the return adderss box. Use the Contact Us link at the bottom of the page to send that to PBS. They can pinpoint the transaction for you with that.

Well if you had a recent transaction time out for not being marked mailed on time and they sent you the wrong book-you should be able to find it in your TA.  Maybe you didn't look back far enough?  Or have you received a book from this state recently?  Maybe they printed your label twice and then used the duplicate by mistake on someone elses book?

These might be a call for the PBS Investiagation Squad like Melanie said.

Thanks for the tip about the Member Directory.  I've found who I think it is and sent them a pm.  Maybe they can shed some light on this.

Ever have a book coming to you go lost?  If so, this might be it.  The postmark date on the package would give you an idea of where in your TA you might find it.
