There's one on Mobileread for $100 and not yet sold. You wouldn't want to Gazelle it, as they're only worth $9 there, or $10 with the case.

I'd check ebay and Amazon used prices. If it's the one I'm thinking of, they're going for aroung $80 on both. But you need to check for yourself because I'm getting all the Kindles confused.

I wouldn't price the cover, but throw it in as an extra. Otherwise you might just end up with a cover the new buyer doesn't want.

I can't imagine getting rid of an e-ink reader and relying on LCD back-lit tablet exclusively for reading books. I have a Nook Color I can read on but I MUCH prefer e-ink. My tablet is a toy, my Kindles are for serious reading.

Are you going to get a different e-ink reader? The Sony has the stylus where you can write on the screen, including right on top of a book you have open. You can jot down a note, an address, a number, etc, on a note app that comes on the reader. The 350 is on clearance at my Walmart for $79.99. So tempting, but I will probably go with the T1 which has Android OS. So then I will have 2 K3s and a Sony....my DH doesn't know what I will do with all those ereaders. I'm sure I'll think of something!

Anne I was raised Frugal.  I havent used this in about 3 weeks.  I had/have no problems reading on the Coby it since its the same as reading on the Literati.  I even Love the Black background with White letters LOL  & I dont need a light on to read!!  Anyway I dont need a collection of eReaders IF I did that It be far cheaper to go back to PB Books!  Speaking of which...I had an offer from a member here to trade it for crs!  I thinking of saying yes.  But the resale of crs here have dropped so much I not sure.   sigh  Anyway need to decide by Monday......

Adding it also comes with splash cover!

How can I remove my information OFF this Kindle?  I was thinking of De Reg it then Formating it.   But was told that Not how you do it back in Oct when I had to send Amazon the broken one.   Soooo  What IS the Correct Way???

Ok--

Last time I tried to sell credits I got no takers at 2.30/credit. You would have to go to around $2 a credit to move them, maybe a little more.

I just sent one back last week. All you have to do is de-register it and then reset to factory defaults. I didn't ask Amazon I just did it.

Yes that how I did the broken one BUT some one told me that that was the WRONG way!  Seems it reduces the amount of times your allowed to download ebooks.  So was wondering IF there is another way.

Dont sound like trading for crs is not the way to go.  I much rather have cash & carry No worries about shipping & it getting broke.  I sold the last of my cr a yr ago for $2.50  but took 3 months to get buyers for those last 15!   Strange with cr price increase they be so hard to sell.

I'd also like to know how to clear them. I have a Kindle keyboard to sell. I've been using my Nook and iPad more often.

I don't understand what you're saying here, Barb. How would it reduce the amount of times you can downlaod ebooks?

I've sold two Kindles to my parents. I just de-registed them from my account, formatted them, then they were 'factory fresh'.

For my parents, my Mom opened an Amazon account and gave me her password, so before I sent them I downloaded a bunch of freebies to her account and loaded the Kindles up. Then mailed them so they wouldn't have to do it. They don't have wifi and didn't want to really learn how to load them, so just wanted me to do it for them. If they want more, my sister can help them get more when she comes over. But they've got tons to read until then.

I did one about two months after the other, and they've had no problems at all. Once deregistered and formatted, they had nothing of mine left on them.

I dont know Cindy ...that was what I was told by Someone here or on MR  just wanted to be sure.   My other one was broke so All I could do was plug to computer & reformate it Before shipping & hope the person at Amazon made sure it was Clean before IF they resold it.  Well guess thats what I will do dereg & take back to factory or formate it.
