I received my first damaged book, and I sent a polite email to the sender requesting my credit back.  She refunded my credit, but seemed ticked off and questioned my honesty, and I understand that there are some people who are scammers, so I don't necessarily blame her for being suspicious.  In any case, she requested that I never order anything from her again, and I am happy to comply with that request.  So, as I have seen described in the past, I added her to my buddy list, but I can't seem to figure out how to make a note describing her as "do not request".  Can someone tell me how to do this?

Thanks- Lesley

Go to "tag actions" and click "manage tags". Type the tag you want, then click "create tag".  then put a check mark next to the name of the person you want to tag. Go to Tag Action again, click the tag you created, and it will come up in red, under the persons name.

Since you can't really control the orders in FIFO, she should be the one responsible for making sure she doesn't accept an order from someone she doesn't want to trade with. I would have marked her as a do not trade on my buddy list too, getting snotty with you and telling you to not order from her again because you wouldn't accept an unpostable book is a little over the edge IMHO.

Melanie- I agree, but then again, I know that it's hard to miss some types of damage, so I'm not upset with her for accidentally sending the book.  I almost sent one out with the exact same type of staining- luckily, I checked it before I wrapped it and found it, otherwise I would be out that credit too.  So I know it happens, and yes, she didn't have to come across the way she did, but I also know that there are dishonest people who try to scam credits out of others, so I can also see why she might be suspicious.  I tried to be polite, but oh well, sometimes you can't make people understand no matter what you do.  I figure that with as many members as this site has, the chances of inadvertently ordering from her via the FIFO system is pretty small, so I probably don't have to worry about it- but I still would rather avoid having any more transactions with her.
