The book is kind of stiff like it might have been expose to humidity and when I try ope the book, I have press is little hard to read the pages. Now I'm not sure if this book I received is postable condition. Also, the book has no other damage (I mean beside being stiff). So what do you kind thing I should do? Is this postable book or I'm making a big deal out nothing or should I say I received with a problem and ask for me credit(I hate doing this because I know they spend money on sending me the book)? Help.

It's hard to tell from what you describe. If it's water-damage then it's not postable. If it's just stiff but not water damage, I guess it is.

my opinion...if there is not visible water damage (ie: water marks) then it is postable...

Marjana--

Is it a hardcover or softcover?  Sometimes the spines on hardcovers that haven't been read can be stiff (there's a trick to opening new hardcovers that makes it easier).  Are there any stains?  Wavy or wrinkling pages?

Cheers,

Catt

You'll have to speak up Mary, We can't "hear" you ;)

Marjana - only you can tell whats up with the book you have since you are the only one with your hands on it. What I usually do when I question a book is to bring up the rules and go line by line to see if it passes or if the problem is listed. For me a "stiff" book that "might have been exposed to humidity" because I would not be able to find stiff as an unpostable condition and humidity exposure is not listed anywhere as a no-no. Now stiffness can sometimes come from liquid damage. If I suspect that, then I look for other signs like staining at the edge of the water damage, discoloration, wrinkling. crispy pages, etc. If I cannot find any of that, then I would not assume it is water damage. If I cannot find a rule that I can say the book breaks, I usually do not mark them RWP.  Sometime a book passes the RWP test, but I feel whatever is puzzling me makes it unpostable so I don't repost it when I am done.

I decide to just say the book is okay since I don't see any water damage or stains.
