I have a book wled and they have not replied yet or did but are on that 48 hr hold deal....but...all of a sudden I have to go up north for 3 days.....so I won't be around when they claim it.....WHAT should I do????  I want them to have the book.....many are wishing it and I am sure they would be bummed to lose it......ANY suggestions appreciated I will only be online tonight

You have 5 days to accept a book request once it's made. So it actually works out better for you if they take longer to accept.  Because the 5 day clock starts once they do. So it looks like you'll be back before it times out.

Thanks...as it is they did just a few minutes ago clain it so I said I would mail it Monday..which I will and printed it...so its all cool :-) Thanks for the reply.......

If it ever happens that you would not be able to mail a wish listed book within a week after you get the request, the best thing to do is decline rather than negotiating a later mailing date. Your book will be removed from the system and the requestor will go back to #1 on the wish list.

If nobody else posts the book before you get home, you'll repost your copy and it will be offered to her again. If somebody else does post the book in the meantime, then the wisher will not have had to wait for you.
