I am looking for a specific Superman storyline that I read in the stores at least 10, if not longer, years ago. I believe it is an Elsewhen or some sort of alternate history standalone graphic novel.

Superman's identity is discovered and I believe Brainiac starts killing off people around him. Superman goes to the NorthPole or some super duper frozen place to duke it out. It appears that he is killed.

This all takes place in an interview of Lois Lane, years later, after she has remarried. The last couple of panels show a baby with some coal and then the father taking it away and a diamond in the coal bin and a twinkle in the father's eye [so we all know he is superman who gave up his flamboyant super ways to keep his friends alive].

Does anyone know the title? I thought originally it was "Superman: The Death of Clark Kent" but that is instead an actual storyline after the Death and Rebirth of Superman saga. So I'm left wondering. Help!

The title of that story is "Whatever Happened To The Man Of Tomorrow?", a two part story by Alan Moore. There is a hardcover collection of this and a TPB that hasn't been released yet, but the complete story is also included in "DC Universe: The Stories Of Alan Moore". It's a great comic, by the way!
