If you've read Suzanne Brockmann's Seal Team 16 series (Troubleshooters) I need some help!

I'm down to the book called Flashpoint and I'm not sure if I want to read it.  I do want to read the book that's next though which is Hot Target.  So - in Flashpoint - is there the continuing story of Sam & Alyssa at all?  Or Molly & Jones or Max & Gina?  If there is, I'll read it but I'd like to know!

Also, give me a review on the book itself.  The reviews I'm reading don't really sell it.  Is it good or just okay?

Sherri--Flashpoint doesn't have anything to do with Sam/Alyssa, Max/Gina, or Molly/Jones. However, it is the beginning of the Sophia and Decker storyline.  You will see much more of Max, Gina, Molly and Jones in Breaking Point--the book after Hot Target. I didn't care that much for Flashpoint but I really like Hot Target and  Breaking Point.

Flashpoint was not one of my favorites from the series. It's Tess and Nash's story. I didn't really care for Nash.It is also the beginning of Sophia and Decker's story but you won't be lost as far as they're concerned if you skip Flashpoint.

Hot Target was the first book I read from this series and is still one of my favorites. I really like Cosmo and I enjoyed Jane's humor.

Sherri, I really liked Nash and Tess Story.  I recomend you read it.  It sets up more in the future.  As a stand alone book it was great.  It reminded me more of Kenny's story than any of the others.

If I'm not mistaken, Flashpoint is the beginning of Troubleshooters...up till that point it's mainly Seal Team 16 story lines... I wan't impressed with it at all, and I didn't enjoy Hot Target either.

Eileen - I felt the same about Flashpoint and Hot Target.  In fact, I'm not sure I finished Hot Target.  Are you saying the previous Seal books by her are better?  I'm tempted to try one based on some comments in the what have you read thread but was a bit unsure.  Thanks.

They should definitely be read in order...

Troubleshooter
  1. 00 The Unsung Hero
  2. 01 The Defiant Hero
  3. 01 Over the Edge
  4. 02 Into the Night
  5. 02 Out of Control
  6. 03 Gone too Far
  7. 04 Flashpoint
  8. 04 Hot Target
  9. 05 Breaking Point
  10. 06 Into the Storm
  11. 07 All Through the Night
  12. 07 Force of Nature

I really didn't enjoy the books much from Flashpoint on... and once Max and Gina's story came out, I pretty much quit. It felt finished to me. I tried to read "All Through the Night" and ended up putting it down. But the beginning books are GREAT!

I know you just ordered the book, but just in case anyone else wants a copy. There is a copy of Unsung hero in the system. Someone just posted a bunch of Suzanne's troubleshooter books.  I just happen to be looking under the hood when it was potsed. Here is the ISBN number. 9780804119528

I love all her books!  You can read them out of order, as each book is it's own story.  BUT it makes more sense and you get more out of them if you do read them in order.

exception: Force of Nature should be read before All Through the Night, which is a short, fun, holiday read, not a big SEAL adventure like many of her other books.

I just started these books, I'm on Over The Edge now. Now I am a little nervous to finish, it sounds like they might be a little dissapointing. I have Unsung hero, if someone wants it, let me know and I'll list it. I just haven't gotten around to it yet.

The Unsung Hero I thought was good Kristy - you should read that one.  And Susan, she has two sets of SEAL books - one is the Harlequin set and the others are "big books".  They are not interrelated - each series has its own "SEAL team".   The Harlequin series is called Tall Dark and Dangerous I believe - quick easy reads.  The Troubleshooters series is more in-depth with alot of character study and characters that carry from book to book.

I did read Unsung Hero and I loved it. I just started the series and I'm up to Over The Edge, which I am also really enjoying. It just sounds like after awhile the head down south.

Ok, good. I'm really into them right now and would hate to be dissapointed. Although, at this point, I really just want to take Sam and Alyssa and knock their heads together. LOL.

Have you been introduced to Max and Gina yet, Kristy? I wanted to kick Max in the rear! They're almost as bad as Sam and Alyssa!

I am almost at the end of Over The Edge, so I have been introduced. He hasn't done anything dumb yet, but I can see it coming. LOL.

Well just wait until you read Max & Gina's story.  He more than makes up for it in the end.  ;-)

I had to go to her web site and see if Max and Gina had a story while I was reading this one. There was just something there that seemed to say they would get together. I can't wait till i get to that one.
