This book outlines ways to help children ages 5 thru 12 settle conflicts that tend to be among the most comon in their lives. It covers 5 ares of concentration - bullying, conflicts from diversity, gender based conflicts, conflicts related to the media and conflicts involving guns and weapons.
Framed around classroom based activities but can be used with any group of young people in this age range.
Violence surrounds many young people and conflict is a part of life. These are the facts, but conflict does not always have to be resolved with violence.
Helping young people find non-violent ways to deal with conflict, ways to settle disputes without weapons, fists , or harm each other, is a something that is greatly needed with children today.
A really great easy to use book. Wonderful ideas.
