I wasn't really excited about this book. It wasn't what I had expected. It's actually about how we find artistic expression in homemaking (fabrics, colors, flowers, etc). Since I'm not really artistic it wasn't for me.

I did not like this book but it was my own fault. I thought it was about practical homemaking skills - cooking, cleaning, etc. and it's more about crafty stuff like flower decorating, art work, fabrics and I don't really see that as part of practical home management.

I agree with the other review I've seen here. This was a boring book and I feel like all the other descriptions, etc. were misleading. This isn't the book I thought it would be.

Boring.... I bought this book because it came soooo recommended but I couldn't wait to pass it on to someone else. I talked with one of my friends that also bought it. She totally agreed with me. It is just boring. I don't know why this book was republished. Mrs. Schaeffer has other books that are better!
