"I don't like self-pity, and the kind of literature that used to come out about the Holocaust seemed filled with a victim like attitude. It's only recently that I see the atmosphere shifting toward a recognition of the courage and the nobility of the people that survived." (excerpt) People rarely equate courage and nobility to children. In the case of those included in this book it's an understatement.
