Grieving her son's death, psychiatrist Susan Stone returns home to Colorado to help her elderly father manage his horse breeding business. After the botched delivery of a prized foal, Susan rides wildly into the mountains, seeking release from consuming guilt. Thrown from her horse, she tumbles into a dark ravine and makes a startling discovery - a young man, chained in the darkness.
This book is a mystery about a woman who is deeply greiving over her son's death. She ponders how much she had to do with his dying and carries a load of guilt. Journey with her as she meets God in a new way.
At first I thought, ugh another dysfunctional family. BUT I really enjoyed the book and got totally wrapped up in the mystery. Miracles and monsters.
Better than "Vanished" but not as good as the "Birthright" series.
Good verses evil. Murder verses Miracles. Demons bent on destruction. Human choices that affect others deeply. Unforgiveness verses mercy. Anger verses love. A past that needs redemption & a future with hope. Once you start this book, you won't be able to put it down until you finish the last page.
