One hundred thirty-two chapters, plus a prologue and an epilogue. 326 reading pages. Just so you won't have to get out your calculator, that is an average of 2.39705882 pages per chapter. Which is EXACTLY how this book reads. Short, choppy, disconnected, rambling. So my review on this Mary Jane Clark book is no better than the review on the "Dancing in the Dark" book ~ which was "Trying to read this book was just like trying to watch TV when the remote control is in some guy's hand..." Are all of her books like this? Is this just her writing style? Does anyone really like it? It may just be me.
Great book. It's about a news intern that is actually older than most and is struggling to keep up with her younger, faster rivals. Great mystery with heart.
This is my first mystery I have read by this author, but I will look for others. It keeps you in suspense until the end!
This book was wonderful! It's another mystery from Mary Jane Clark centering on the KEY Network News employees, this time a new intern vying for a coveted KEY News position. When other interns begin dying when covering a story, things take a turn for the worse.
A great, fast-paced read that will keep you guessing the killer's identity until the very end.
I liked the way this book had short chapters and went between different characters throughout the book. The author kept my interest and made it fun to read. I hope you will enjoy this book as much as I did.
Classic Mary Jane Clark. I couldn't put it down. Excellent plot twists and turns.
fantastic keeps you reading nonstop
This one was a quick easy read for me. It held my interest.
Nobody in this perfect seaside resort town ever imagined that the body of a missing heiress might be found deep in a tunnel beneath her family's crumbling Newport estate. Nobody, that is, but the last person to see her alive. Now, as a KEY News crew investigates the murder, a cold blooded killer lives in fear of discovery. Too many reporters are closer than they realize to the truth behind a chilling secret .... Good!
another great book by MJ Clark, keepings you guessing till the end
Her books are always so good. This one is no exception.

In a race against time, Grace must find the courage to delve into Newport's secrets, protect her daughter, and stp a ruthless killer who's determined to win this deadly game of hide and seek.
Lots of twists and turns.
Good enough to make me look for more of her books.
Contemporary thriller. Very good

A favorite of mine by Mary Jane Clark! Had me guessing threw the whole book! Awesome read!
A very interesting book with a lot of twist and turns. A must read for anyone who loves murder mystery.
This is hands down one of the best mystery novels I have ever read. There were many suspects and potential motives, the heroine was very likable and easy to relate to, and the romance was done just write- it was interesting and didn't detract from or distract from the story. I am going to request or buy more books by Mary Jane Clark, I am so glad I discovered her!
Surprisingly good! I misread the author's name. It's a basic murder mystery.
