This is the 2nd in a trilogy by Whitlow. I read all three books within the same week, which is rare for me, but they were that interesting. Funny enough, in talking with my mom today about this series, we both had a negative reaction when we first started the first book. Both of us were aggravated with the strict religious upbringing the girl & her family advocated. It just seemed a little too much (and I was raised in a very strict Christian home). But both of us agreed that we got bored and picked the book back up and was so glad we did, going on to finish the trilogy to see what happened to the young, new lawyer.
I should mention, the main character is a female and Whitlow was spot on. Even being strictly religious, she had enough humor to not be off putting, to the reader as well as to the other characters in the story.

I liked this second in the series about a very conservative young law clerk. This one was less about the law as about the personal relationships in the book. I particularly enjoyed such an unusual take on "dating" as presented here. The section where Zach visits her home is extremely entertaining!
