I found the story to be fun and interesting throughout the book. I enjoyed the characters and the way it was written and would read any books connected and related.
Not one of my favorites but a good read with likeable characters. Plot with some twists and turns that keep you interested.
Fantastic book. Very good storyline with rich characters. Loved it!
Neither Keira Murray MacKail nor her cousin Brother Matthew expect Liam Cameron to survive after being savagely beaten and tossed off a cliff. But by using all of her healing skills, Keira somehow manages to bring him back from death's doorstep. While recuperating, Liam learns more about the lovely Keira, including her plans to return to her home in Ardgleann. Once there, Keira intends to free the people of Ardgleann from the tyranny of Rauf Moubray, who not only murdered Keira's husband, Duncan, but also usurped his land. To repay the debt he owes Keira, Liam offers to champion her cause against Rauf, but earning Keira's trust and winning her love may prove to be a far more formidable challenge for Liam than trying to retake any Scottish fortress. With her latest Scottish medieval romance, part of her Murray series, Howell offers readers another captivating tale filled with bold passion and daring deeds. John Charles

love and danger in the Highlands.
After the death of her husband and the loss of Castle Ardgleann, Keira Murray MacKail flees to the safety of the monastery, where her cousin Matthew is a brother caring for a severely wounded Liam Cameron. With her skills in healing, Keira takes over Liam's care. Once recovered, Liam agrees to be Keira's champion and reclaim Ardgleann.
Keira allows Liam to escort her to his home. As soon as their families learn they have spent several weeks together unchaperoned, Keira and Liam are forced to wed. It's on their wedding night that Liam discovers Keira, though a widow, is still a virgin. After they rid Ardgleann of the interlopers, Keira fears Liam does not love her. Can he convince Keira that his love is true?
Good, fast paced read.
