I have a question for those who have read this book.  I've been reading it the last couple of days, just got to page 288 and all of a sudden it jumps to page 321.  I'm missing over 30 pages of the book.  Pages 321-333 are printed twice, with a preview of another book in between.  I'm dying.  Are all of the paperback copies like this?  I just looked and of course our library doesn't have this book, and I don't think the used book store did the last time I was there, but it wouldn't do much good to get another messed up copy.  If all of the printed copies were messed up, are these missing pages online somewhere?  I'm so disappointed.  It was at such a good point in the book, and I want to know what happens next.  Help!!

Edited again:  I went to Books-A-Million this afternoon (I'm impatient) and bought their last copy, and it was fine.  I just wonder how many people got upset when this book first came out.  And they couldn't run out like I did and get a re-issued, corrected copy.

Susanna,

I was definitely upset and a little frantic yesterday.  I feel silly now, the day after.  I was acting as though the world had ended or something.

That was the first Hannah Howell book I've read all the way through.  I've tried a couple of her others, not Highlander books, and I never could get into them, but this one was really good.  I had decided to keep it before I got to that point in the book, and I usually don't buy books new so I figured it couldn't hurt once and awhile.  Besides I can't concentrate to read in the bookstore with all that music blaring in my ears.

I got a pm yesterday saying that this has happened to others here before.  I wonder if it happens often.  Maybe we should start a thread and post names of books to watch out for.  I've got tons of books sitting on my shelf that I haven't read yet, and I'm wondering how many of them I'm going to have a problem with.  I'll have to start hunting for back-ups. LOL
