Happy Earth Day! In honor of good old mother earth, highlight a book on your shelf with an earth, nature, or environmental theme. :)

Here's mine:

Beyond Sovereignty: Issues for a Global Agenda :: Maryann K. Cusimano

It's not so much about nature or earth, but it does discuss the issues of environmental problems (among other issues) and how they are an international problem, not one that just one country can handle alone.

Anybody else have an appropriate book to highlight on this Earth Day?

Probably not what you had in mind, but The Hot Zone by Richard Preston is kind of about a natural chain of events.

I have this children's book on my shelf:

The Wild Inside

A lot of people think you have to take a hike to find something wild. Not true. Lift a leaf of a potted plant and you may encounter a whole community of pink and green molds. Bugs can live in carpets, in the beds, and in your woolly winter sweater. Furry mammals munch cupboards when nobody is looking. Spiders lurk in the dark corners. Rivers of water roar through the plumbing; hot and cold breezes stream through the house. Sparks of electricity jump from your comb. Take a closer look at your house - you'll discover it's wild inside.
