ugghh, even though I followed my procedure for checking a book I just received before marking it 'received in good condition', later in the day I have now discovered a problem. I just found multiple pages with orange highlighting!! Don't know how I missed it when I flipped pages when I opened the package. I even PM'd the sender to thank them for sending a 'like new' book! It doesn't even look like it's been opened before! I've experimented and found that while flipping through the book 4 times, only twice did it happen to show me the highlighted pages.......now I feel like I'm going to have to be very OC about checking each and every book I get here from now on and not try to immediately mark them received. |

When flipping or fanning through a book to check for underlining, highlighting and marginalia, you do have to be careful. I have flipped quickly through books that I thought were in very good or like-new condition only to discover later that some of them did indeed have markings. I now try to discipline myself flip slowly through books to see every page before sending books and also when receiving books. |

The sender returned my credit since they didn't check first. they said they had been given a box of books that they just posted without looking thru them. |
