I have a book "The Ultimate Fat Smash" diet book and I was scanning it to see if I had highlighted any pages.  There is 1 page w/highlighting.  Does this mean I cannot post this book?

You can post it, but you cannot send it until you receive the requestor's permission via PM.  From the help docs:

No writing or highlighting or underlining on text pages

  • a signature or note on the flyleaf or inside front or back cover is OKAY
  • an author's signature on the title page is OKAY
  • writing or highlighting or underlining on the text pages is NOT OKAY
    • AnchorException: if it is a textbook or workbook, these are expected to have highlighting/underlining/writing
      • if you post a textbook/workbook, the condition must be described to the requestor in a Personal Message
      • AND the described condition MUST BE AGREED TO in a reply PM before the book is sent

If the requestor doesn't want the book, or doesn't reply in time, you must cancel.

Penny, your book is unpostable under regular FIFO guidelines.  You could use the 'Textbook' clause Caviglia has posted above.  Basically you post the book, pm requester, describe damage/highlighting, and ask if it meets their needs.  They MUST approve book condition BEFORE you can mail it.  If they do not approve the book, it is your responsibility to cancel the transaction so they may retain their WL position.
