A friend and I listened to this on a road trip and both loved it! We both grew up in small towns so especially loved the "small town setting" and colorful characters. The writer really draws you into the story.

I loved this story of a slightly cracked southern bell who throws the referenced hissy-fit at her wedding rehearsal dinner -- with provocation -- and starts rebuilding her life with humor and verve. Yes, it's a bit romance-y and we all know where the relationship with the new boss is going to end up (after his poisonous fiancee is removed from the scene), but it's a fun trip getting there. A subplot involving the disappearance of the main character's mother, years previously, may have been unnecessary but it was well handled even though the resolution became pretty obvious early on.

Loved this book!!!! Great "Atta girl" story! Narrator was thoroughly enjoyable.

So glad I picked this Audio CD as one of my picks. Light hearted fun romp of a strong willed imaginative young woman. This mystery takes the high road in dealing with personal loss and opening doors to a bright conclusion.with many laughs along the way. Well worth a listen... One of the best audio books I have heard.
