For those who have frequented the Historical Fiction Forum that has been down for the past few days (or has disappeared), the moderators have started a new board (that they will have control over).  It is at historicalfictiononline.com.  Come join in the discussions!

I loved the historic fiction forum, but hadn't been there in a few days.  What happened!??

I don't really know all the details, but at some point the site was sold and the new owner has been very hard to contact and made updates to the main page of the  board impossible.  Then, a few days ago it was just gone and displayed some cryptic message.  After a couple of days of trying (in vain) to contact the owner, the mods decided to create a new board.  The sad thing is that all of the reviews and discussions from the other board are gone.

They aren't entirely gone. You find some of the old information in the Internet Archive. But it looks like we'll have to wait for another update to the public archive before the most recent data appears. Of course, the crawler may not have captured all the threads.

Oh no!  I haven't made it over there for a awhile but that's how that site was created....PG's board was hacked into and nothing was being done about it so Becky started that website.  That makes me sad.....I've spent so much time over there over th eyears, just not a lot lately.

The history of Historical Fiction Online! Who/what is PG, Michelle? (I assume you don't mean Philippa Gregory, but I could be wrong!)

I think that (Philippa Gregory) is who she means - at least that's my recollection.

Yeah, we were all initially on Philippa Gregory's boards.

No kidding. I wonder if she ever participates.
