Hi to my fellow historical fiction lovers!
Want to have some fun? There is an elephant swap game taking sign-ups right now in the Games forum History is a Mystery Elephant Swap. If you've never played a elephant swap game on PBS before, they work very much like a virtual White Elephant Swap - the type of gift swap game that many of us play during the holidays - and can be a lot of fun! I have to admit that I am slightly addicted to them and have been playing in the games for years. Besides being fun, they're a great way to discover new books and chat with your fellow book lovers about books.
All you need to sign up is one credit for deposit (you get the credit back after you mail out your book at the end of the game) and a historical mystery book (in postable condition, of course) set before 1950 that you are willing to swap. The hostess of the game is also allowing historical true crime books. The book you offer doesn't have to be wishlisted, but the hostess would like to ensure that all books in the swap have less than 50 copies in the PBS system.
Come join us! Even if you've never played in an elephant swap game before, they are easy to figure out.
