My mum loves these books,. Anyone have a deal on them? Here's what I Know she likes and dislikes.

She thinks Catherine coulter is predictable, Harliquin romances should be passed on,Smut is fine as long as there is a story line.

Anyone want to offer me a deal?Im HORRIBLE at picking then out for her. I love horror and fiction so Im at a total loss!!! A very nice lady here at the bazaar helped out last time BUT I deleted her email by accident. So if it's you please let me know!

I'll give you my 2 cents:

Mary Balogh is an acclaimed Historical Romance author from way back. (Many people think her books are collectable.)

Johanna Lindsey has many, many great Historical Romance books, but they can start to get predictable after a while.

Kathleen Woodiwiss and Jennifer Wilde have great THICKER Historical Romance books.

Stephanie Laurens is a hot newer Historical Romance writer. But her romances have a hotter content too.

I can do a deal on Zebra Regency romances or Signet Regency romances, but they're similar to Harlequins.

Isn't there a forum that might have some great ideas here at PBS?

I have Daughter of Deceit :: Victoria Holt  which is a hard copy.  It's an older book (1991) but a great story.

Nothing of this genre on my shelf, but would the forum "Historical Fiction" help you out?  It's in the Discussion by Genre section.  You cannot post or ask for deals there but at least someone might be able to steer you in the right direction for authors and/or titles.

My girlfriend gave me 35 historical romances. They are her all time favorites. I would do 5 books for two credits. Let me know! She too grew out of Catherine Coulter (except the few on my shelf) All the others are authors she found after Catherine.

I like Gilbert Morris. His stories are fantastic. I have a few on my bookshelf and would do a deal. They are part of a series but they are good reads.

If you find out which authors/books you want to get for your mom, check out my shelf.  I'm doing a 2 for 1 deal right now on all 400 plus books.  Also doing an endless 6 for 1 on my Harlequin books in case you change your mind about them
