Mr. Bradshaw has a good grasp of the challenges facing many of us once we become adults with childhood issues leading us around by the nose. This book was one of the most pivotal books I read during my initial recovery in therapy. I consider it a must read for anyone grappling with childhood issues or anyone wondering just why in the heck they can't get it together as an adult.

John Bradshaw has touched and changed millions of lives through his three nationally televised PBS series and his bestselling books....Now, in Homecoming, he presents the essence of the inner child workshops he calls "the most powerful work I have ever done."

"Three things are striking about inner child work. The speed with which people change when they do this work; the depth of that change; and the power and creativity that result when the wounds from the past are healed."

Here, using a welath of practical techniques, informative case histories, and unique questionnaires, John Bradshaw demonstrates how your wounded inner child may be causing you pain. You'll learn to gradually, safely, go back to reclaim and nurture that inner child - and literally help yourself grow up again. Homecoming shows you how to: *Validate your inner child through meditations and affirmation, *Give your chld permission to break destructive family roles and rules, *Adopt new rules allowing pleasure and honest self-expression, *Deal with anger and difficult relationships, *Pay attention to your innermost purpose and desires...and find new joy and energy in living.

"You will connect with a fresh vision of your child, enriched by your years of adult experience. This is your true homecoming. it is a discovery of your essence, your deepest, unique self."
