I know at least a couple of us are reading this one, so I thought I'd start a discussion thread for it.  I'm really enjoying it, but I'm reminded of how much I didn't like Rosalyn in the first book, and she's still driving me crazy.

I love the format of this book!  Books done in e-mail or different than the straightforward story form are always fun.  I like some of Meg Cabot's adult fiction for that very reason.

Brenda, I remember reading that sometime in the past year! LOL  I really enjoyed it.  Rosalyn got on my nerves at first too, but then I gained more insight to her as I continued with the book.  There's alot to learn from her adn.....oh, her sister.  Can't remember her name.

I too really enjoyed the email format....fun reading!

I'm almost finished with the book, and although I can see growth with Rosalyn's character, I guess the thing that bugs me the most, is I thought we already went through all this in SAHM I Am.  Maybe I'm remembering wrong, but I know she was like this in that book, but I thought there was a little more character resolution at the end of that one.  I guess I'd have to re-read it to see.

I'm about half way through the book. I didn't read SAHM I AM. I have laughed quite a bit...it is funny how easy it is to see people around you that fit the various characters in the book. But, oh geez, Rosalyn is a real piece of work!! I've encountered far too many women like her at churches I've attended in the past....trying to make everything appear perfect but life is normal on the inside, just like everyone else's. LOL Or maybe she just reminds me of my mother! :-)

I'm enjoying the format. It is a great book to take to read while waiting on appointments. Easy to stop and start and not feel like you're forgetting what you just read.

So far I think my favorite moment is when Tom, Dulcie's husband, couldn't find his daughter's training pants. That whole email cracked me up!

Is anyone else reading this book? I finished it. I enjoyed it. Interesting style of writing. I'm guessing there will be a third book in the series given the ending.

I had to laugh about GWENCH. I saw a story on CNN this week about a guy who dresses up like a pastor and has a choir that goes to malls and sings and preaches about the materialism of Christmas. Of course, given where they go to "spread" the message they often get kicked out and/or arrested. They've apparently been doing this for quite a few years.

I thought the characters in the book were very easy to relate to. It seems like all of them were dealing with some type of issue/s that either I have dealt with or know someone who has.

Any feedback from someone else?!

I finished it awhile ago, and thought it was cute.  I can't remember any specific comments I had.  Oh yeah!  Did you figure out the Christmas song game thing?  I didn't, but then I never can figure out those kind of things.

I read this when it first came out. I liked SAHM I AM better, but I still enjoyed the second one a lot. I love the e-mail format too, in fact, epistolary novels are one of my favorite types.

I like that these women seem real, their personalities are very typical of people I know!

Ya know, I didn't figure out the Christmas song game. I don't do well at those either. That kind of frustrated me that in the end they never told what it was.

I had to go to her website to figure it out after I had read it.  I have to admit, while I was reading it I didn't put much thought into trying to figure it out.  I didn't read the lyrics to the songs or anything, because I figured in the end, the author would supply the answer to the game.  She just wanted us to visit her website. ;)

Melissa, I think I liked SAHM I Am better as well.

I've never heard of these books but may want to check them out.  Who is the author?  What is the name of the first book, SAHM I AM?

Deborah,

Thanks for the link. I hate not being able to figure stuff like that out!! And then when I read the answer I'm always like *duh* why couldn't I figure that out. Guess God just decided I needed other talents more than puzzle solving! :-)

Well ladies you must be holding on to these books - there are none to order.  I've added both to my wish list so please list them when you're done!  You've got me really wanting to read them now!

I got mine at the library, Angela.  Do you have a good library that you can check?
