Vinegar can be used for many cleaning jobs, it is even an anti-viral, anti-bacterial. This website is to the Vinegar Institute where you'll find lots of tips for cleaning using it. http://www.versatilevinegar.org/ |

I just made up a 10 pound batch of detergent that you add water to..so i have 20 # for just a few dollars. I saw the secipe for fabric softern and watn to make up some of that too. I am impressed so far. I know that the sudsing doesn't clean the clothes so the deterent not sudsing isn't a real problem. Last Edited on: 8/13/12 3:16 PM ET - Total times edited: 1 |

My sister makes the homemade detergent, the liquid recipe, and shares it with the whole family. I know how to make homemade fabreeze and I just learned to make homemade fabric softener. I too tend to use bleach, vineagar, baking soda and salt as my favorite cleansers. Salt makes a very nice scouring powder without the nasty smell or film left behind, it just disolves under your sponge as you scrub. |
