Margie Kinnard has wanted to go to Hollywood for years. Her embittered Father doesn't love her, but agrees to take her with him to California. They travel with other families, and meet danger on the road.
very good book.
Book starts in Kansas in 1933 with a father taking his daughter whom he barely knows to Hollywood California. Margie hopes to become a Movie Star. The people they meet on Route 66, their lives they are leaving and the future they hope to have. Great Book. Dorothy Garlock is a great writer who really draws you into the lives of her characters.
