I'm also wishing. I requested a book that was supposedly mailed on Sep 5. no sign of it yet. I think maybe we are headed toward lost here.

I thought it was bad that the book supposedly mailed Sept. 13 wasn't here yet!  Since it is coming from a state not far away, I'm beginning to believe it was never mailed.

Roxanne, it is amazing the route some books take just going to a neighboring state.  One of my PBS friends had a book she was sending from Michigan to Illinois which took a route from Michigan to Florida to Texas and then to Illinois.  Sometimes you get a book sooner from across the country than from one a couple states over.

Joy, you are right about sometimes getting packages quicker from states that are farther away.  And the PO has been a little odd lately - perhaps they are changing some routes.  I just get a bad feeling if I get the two week email "has this book been received yet" and there is no sign of the book.  Twice in the past I have had books coming to me go "lost", but I am sure they were never sent.  On the other hand, a book mailed with printed postage to me went lost and I could see exactly where it went lost, so I knew it had been mailed.  It showed up in my box 3 months to the day later, not a mark on it to explain where it had been.  When I worked at the PO that was called "found in supposedly empty equipment".

Well I got the email this morning:

Hello from PaperBackSwap! We're sorry, but your request for the book X could not be completed at this time. The sender did not mail the book within the allotted time and the request has been canceled.

Since no other copies of the book are currently available in the system, the book has been placed on your Wish List and you will be notified when it becomes available again. If the book was on your Wish List when it was offered to you, you have gone back to your previous position in the Wish List queue for the book. We hope that you are able to get a copy of this book from another sender soon!

Diane,  I have ordered several books since last week so I guess one timeout is not too bad.  I really wanted that book though because I have never read Joe Hill.  Things are looking up, I received my movie today. I have been going through credits like crazy and keep sending out wl stuff and transferring credits.

I decided to get the audio books from The Public Library.  I spent 22 credits on audio books and I cannot keep up that spending pace.

I  PM'd my sender and it turned out she had forgotten the book in her trunk, so it is on its way to me now.  All's well that ends well.
