Sometimes I wonder if I'm the only one who gets annoyed by plots that we've seen elsewhere. The whole "Stargate/Animorphs/Invasion of the Body Snatchers" thing where parasitic aliens are taking over human hosts has been done so many times that it's just totally disappointing when an author tries to do it again without creating a better story. This book was slow and even though supposedly for adults, feels very juvenile with characters that are more related to by teens. I tried skimming through to decide if it was worth reading, but just encountered more corny dialogue and overly-dramatic crap that totally turned me off... the book and the author.

I was not at all impressed by the Twilight series, so it had taken me awhile to get to this book on my shelf (was silly enough to waste money on it before reading the other series). Now I know why this book wasn't calling to me. It just wasn't worth my money.
