This is a pilot's first person account of being held hostage aboard flight 847 by radical Muslims. He saw passengers beaten and killed and was held overseas but always maintained trust in God.

From the back:

"TWA Flight 847 began casually as vacationers filed to their seats in the big jet. Fifteen minutes later terror struck! Two suicidal terrorists, brandishing guns and grenades, turned this holiday trip into a flight of fear, beatings, and- for one young navy man- death. The chilling drama that riveted the eyes of the world on war-torn Beirut would soon become a test of faith for Flight OFficer B. Christian Zimmermann as he was held hostage with 38 other Americans jfor 17 agonizing days.

Can I be patient enough to see how God works this out? Am I willing to accept whatever answers and solutions God has? With these questions burning in his mind, Zimmerman could say with confidence, "We knew the situation was in God's hands. We could trust in God that somewhow, things would work together for good."

Confined to his plane and guarded by Amal and Hezbollah Shi'ites, Zimmerman reflected on the meaning of the Christian faith and the ways in which the human will is held hostage by sin. He discovered his captors were also hostages- bound by animosity and anarchy and a relgion that views suicidal acts as pathways to heaven.

Hostage in a Hostage World is more than a tale of terrorism- it is an intimate look into one man's thoughts as he contrasts Christian belifs wiht Islam's interpretations of God's revealed truth. Hostage in a Hostage World calls all Christians to reach out in love so that people everywhere may know God's saving grace through Jesus Christ.
