Cute read from the Hot Zone series. I admit they are just weekend bits of chic lit but i do enjoy the no brainers sometimes, and this was well written, part of a series, which i like, and funny, it made me smile and feel good when i was done. Fast read so i'm not tied up all week with the same book--just weekend fluff, or stress unwinder's as i call them.Give it a 3 star it did it's job for me.

The second book in the "Hot Zone" series. This follows the book Hot Stuff and preceeds the book Hot Item. The triology is about 3 sisters, orphaned in youth and taken in by a bachelor uncle. An uncle fully absorbed in sports. Each book altho a good read in itself, chronicles the life of one of the sisters, in their adult years. Publicists for the Hot Zone Sports Agency, each individual sister transforms as the games begin.....

Micki Jordan, publicist to the brightest stars in the sports world, is pleased to announce the end of her tomboy ways, effective immediately. While she will still be able to discuss the finer points of the two-man defense, Micki has transformed herself into one hot number, and she will no longer be known as "just one of the guys."
To that end, Micki is now holding tryouts for the position of new man in her new life. Current leading contender Damian Fuller is a professional ballplayer and a major league playboy. Those who would like to go head-to-head with the wildest player in the league for a chance at winning Micki's heart should apply in person...Let the games begin.

Micki is a girl who feels comfortable as "one of the guys", but what do you do when you have a slight crush on a major league ball player? You get a makeover of course. An easy and fun read.

This one is my favorite of Carly Phillips's trilogy about the sister publicists. It has the flavor of an ugly-duckling-to-sexy-swan theme without being silly. The hero, of cource, is a sexy, great-looking professional athlete.

This was a slightly above average romance in the sports world. I didn't think it was as good or as interesting as the previous one in the series.

This book is one hilarious mishap after another. Ever wonder what happens when tomboys discover men? Then you will love this book. It is full of passion and romance, with a whole lot of comedy thrown in. I cracked up laughing when i read it. Poor Damian hardly knew which way was up after Micki turn the heat up on him. Micki Jordan, tomboy extraordinaire and a seasoned publicist to many big-name New York athletes, is tired of being seen only as "one of the guys." Coached by her sister, Micki goes all out with a makeover, new clothes, and a flirtatious manner to gain the attention of Damian Fuller, the handsome and charming playboy centerfielder who is the longtime focus of her romantic daydreams. When Damian is injured, she seizes the opportunity to practice her feminine wiles in Hot Number, Phillips's nicely developed contemporary romance, second in the Hot Zone trilogy.
