Not at all what I was expecting. The cover was a little deceptive to me. It reads: The House of Daniel: A book of miracles, magic and minor league ball. Guess I should have read more about what it was about, I didn't know it was literally about magic, vampires, werewolves, sorcerers and zombies. It did however have some minor league baseball. Each chapter deals with one or two minor league games involving The House Of Daniel (a travelling baseball team and local baseball teams from the cities they visit. O n a down note, the description of the baseball parks they played in got redundant and boring after the firs 5- 10 descriptions. The game descriptions were pretty entertaining and the sprinklings of the other world creatures throughout the book were short and somehow after a few chapters blended in with the narrative of the baseball teams. Pretty good book for a quick afternoon read.
