What else will I like?  I've read Marked, Betrayed, Chosen, Untamed and Hunted...waiting to get Tempted and Burned in the mail (Just got them, woo hoo) and then I will have to wait for the others to come out.  I've also read Stephanie Meyers Twighlight series.  I really loved all these book mentioned here and was wondering what else I would like along these lines that are out there?  Thank ya'll so much for your help, I really appreciate it!

The Vampire Academy series by Richelle Mead is a MUST!!!  There are 4 books out now, the 5th is coming out this month, and the 6th comes out later this year.  Fantastic series!  (This is fresh on my mind as I just pre-ordered book 5 from Amazon--only $9!)

Shiver by Maggie Stiefvater

Need and Capitvate by Carrie Jones

Gosh, there are tons really.......

Have you read all the Harry Potter books?  The books are different from the movies, so don't think if you've seen the movies it ruins the books or anything.  Only the first book is more juvenile, imo, but from the 2nd one on it's pretty standard reading.  (ETA: I hated the first HP book, seriously.  It took me years to get through it.  It was only after about 4 YA series that I was able to read all the way through, and I'm so glad I did.  I spent last summer reading the HP books, and I'll never forget sitting on the sofa sobbing the last third of the last book.  My 3 year old son just watched me cry then brought me a pack of tissues, seriously!  When a book can have that kind of an affect on you, just, wow.....)

The Sookie Stackhouse books by Charlaine Harris (starts with Dead Until Dark) (again, a new one comes out this month--today, actually, book 10)

Richelle Mead also has a Succubus series, it's more adult since hey, it's about a succubus after all.

All the ones by Rachel Vincent, Jenna Black, Lili(th) St Crow, Holly Black, Claudia Gray, Alison Noel, and Cassandra Clare are just a few of the good authors out there.

Oh!  Beautiful Creatures by Margaret Stohl, Kami Garcia is awesome.  Book 2 comes out later this year.

Same here Doris, just finished the last House of Night book, Burned also, and it was very good.  I can't wait till the others to come out though, they are just really good!  I also read all the Twilight books which were wonderful too.  I don't know what it is about these kinds of books but I really really enjoy them.  I just turned 30 years old 3 days ago and I know they are supposed to be young adult but man there good, lol.  I still feel like I'm 18 though so maybe that's why I enjoy them so much lol.

I too agree that I'm in my 30s and I just started reading these types of books and find them compulsive.  I have actually put a lot of thought into the reasoning for these books being impossible to put down.  I'm not sure, bc I haven't actually checked this aginst "adult" books, but I think YA writers tend to end chapters on cliffhangers in order to keep the attention of the average teenager (which would be ADD level for an adult, lol.)  This is just a theory though.

And I've read plenty of YA that I didn't care for as well, that did not have chapters that ended on cliffhangers.  So maybe I'm just thinking about a few of the ones that I remember the most, like Twilight, Beautiful Creatures, House of Night series, etc.
