Nine boys against 20 grown robbers - not a very fair fight!

Benjamin never dreamed what he was getting into when he ran away from the ill tempered inkeeper who had worked him so hard. He didnt mean to go near the house in the snow. That, people said, was where the demons lived - the ones who stole boys.

But in the snowey forest he met Mackie-the first boy who had ever escaped from the house. And Mackie told him the true story. The people of the house werent demons, they were robbers - invisible robberx, when they wanted to be. The boys they stole and used as slaves were helpless.

Or were they? Benjamin had already proved that he wasnt helpless. Now what he had to do was convince the other boys. But how do you fight people who have swords and guns-and the power to dissapear before your eyes? Well, there are ways if your friends stick with you...
